Hello and welcome.
Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety or stress. Maybe you are feeling disconnected from yourself. Or perhaps you really want to make changes in your life. It takes courage to reach out for support and I am glad you are here.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a Registered Art Therapist (RCAT). In my practice, I currently provide virtual counselling and art therapy to adults living in British Columbia, Canada.
I have found while therapy can be rewarding and helpful it can also be vulnerable and challenging at times. My goal is to create a space where you feel well-heard and supported to reach greater ease and healing in your life.
It would be my honour to work alongside you to build a stronger relationship with yourself and with others.
Helping You Create A Stronger Relationship With Yourself And Others
Introduction
My name is Katy (she/her). I became a counsellor and art therapist from my joy of listening, my curiosity with how we think, feel and interact, and my desire to support others. Creating art has been an important part of my life since I was young and has, along with talk therapy, supported me to have a stronger connection with myself and with others.
For over 15 years I have been fortunate to work with people with diverse life experiences and challenges. Some of the life experiences I have supported people with include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, eating disorders, relationship issues, substance use issues, perfectionism, shame, grief and loss, and caregiver burnout.
